Mode of Action2,4-D is an “auxin mimic” or synthetic auxin. This type of herbicide kills the target weed by mimicking the plant growth hormone auxin (indole acetic acid), and when administered at effective doses, causes uncontrolled and disorganized plant growth that leads to plant death.

Product Application

Product Stroage

Keep container tightly closed when not in use. If exposed to subfreezing temperatures, the product should be warmed to at least 40 of and mixed thoroughly before using. Store in original container with lid tightly closed, away from children and animals. Keep away from water, foodstuffs, feed or seed.

First Aid

Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Do not give any liquid to the person. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment.
Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to- mouth, if possible.

Advice to physician

Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage.
